The second round of the presidential elections pits the candidate of the NGO sector against that of the sovereigntists - a contradiction that seems to be permanent in the era of Donald Trump
Thank you for saying this: "[ND] is not touring the country or abroad, nor is he coming up with specific messages to attract the inhabitants of the regions or the diaspora to his side." I do not understand why he is not spending this time between elections touring the country, I am starting to suspect that his status as independent comes with financial and logistical constraints.
Before Bulgaria, Belgium used to be the posterchild of political instability. I agree that Romania may soon join this club as well.
Finally, I am sad to see that people in my generation (young Gen X and old Gen Y) cannot find the time to celebrate the first election where traditional parties did not make it into the second round. Most think that this is not the time to celebrate, but then again, if you do not do it when it happens, the occasion quickly vanishes into thin air. What a missed opportunity to simply enjoy the moment!
